Coaching Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all coaching services provided by Talia Zamora. They cover one-to-one coaching, family coaching, group coaching, workshops, training and other coaching-related services unless separate terms are provided for a particular service or event.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking or taking part in any coaching service.

By booking, purchasing or participating in coaching services with Talia Zamora, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Coaching

Coaching is a supportive and collaborative process designed to help you explore where you are now, where you would like to be and how you may move towards your goals.

My role as your coach is to provide guidance, support, encouragement, perspective and practical tools where appropriate. Coaching is not about telling you what to do or making decisions for you.

You remain responsible for your own choices, decisions, actions and wellbeing throughout the coaching process.

Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, legal advice or financial advice. If it becomes clear that you require specialist support outside the scope of coaching, I may recommend that you seek appropriate professional help.

Coaching should not be used as a substitute for emergency or crisis support. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, you should contact the appropriate emergency or specialist services.

2. Your Responsibility and Commitment

Coaching works best when there is an active partnership between coach and client.

While I will provide support, encouragement, guidance and a space to explore your thoughts and goals, I cannot do the work for you.

Any progress you make will depend on many factors, including your willingness and ability to reflect, engage with the coaching process and take responsibility for any actions you choose to take.

You are responsible for:

  • Your own decisions and actions.

  • Whether or not you choose to act on ideas or discussions arising from coaching.

  • Your own physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

  • Seeking appropriate professional support where required.

I will support you in getting from where you are to where you want to be, but the steps you take and the actions you choose to make are ultimately yours.

3. No Guarantees

Every person and situation is different, and coaching outcomes will vary.

While I am committed to providing professional, supportive and personalised coaching, I cannot and do not guarantee any specific results or outcomes.

I cannot guarantee that coaching will result in a particular achievement, change in circumstances, business outcome, financial outcome, relationship outcome or personal result.

The success of coaching depends on a range of factors, including your individual circumstances, commitment, participation and the actions you choose to take.

You acknowledge that I am providing coaching and support, not doing the work or taking action on your behalf.

4. One-to-One Coaching

One-to-one coaching sessions will take place at the agreed time, date and format.

The length, frequency and number of sessions will be agreed with you at the start of coaching or as part of the service you have booked.

Please arrive or join your session on time. If you arrive late, the session will normally still finish at the scheduled time to avoid impacting other appointments.

Any additional support between sessions will only be provided where this has been specifically agreed as part of your coaching package.

5. Family Coaching

Where family members are involved in coaching, the purpose and boundaries of the coaching relationship will be discussed and agreed as clearly as possible.

Family coaching is designed to provide support, understanding and guidance. It does not replace family therapy, counselling, mediation or specialist therapeutic support.

Where appropriate, I may work with individuals separately or together. Confidentiality and information-sharing boundaries will be discussed at the beginning of the coaching relationship.

I reserve the right to decline to share information from an individual coaching conversation with another family member unless this has been agreed or there is a safeguarding or legal reason to do so.

6. Group Coaching, Workshops and Training

These Terms and Conditions also apply to group coaching, workshops, training sessions and other group activities unless separate terms are provided.

I aim to create a supportive, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone taking part.

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat other participants with respect.

  • Respect differing experiences, opinions and perspectives.

  • Avoid behaviour that may cause harm, intimidation or distress to others.

  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of other participants.

While I will encourage a respectful and supportive environment, I cannot guarantee or take responsibility for what other participants may share or do outside the group.

Participants should respect the confidentiality of personal information shared by others during group sessions.

I reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a group session where their behaviour is inappropriate, disruptive, threatening or harmful to others.

7. Confidentiality

I will treat information shared during coaching as confidential and will not intentionally share it with others without your permission.

However, confidentiality may need to be broken where:

  • There is a serious concern about your safety or the safety of someone else.

  • There is a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable person.

  • I am required to disclose information by law.

  • There is a serious risk of harm.

Where possible and appropriate, I will aim to discuss any necessary disclosure with you before sharing information.

Please note that confidentiality in group coaching cannot be guaranteed in the same way as one-to-one coaching because other participants are present. All participants will be encouraged to respect each other's privacy and confidentiality.

8. Safeguarding

I take safeguarding seriously.

If I become concerned that a child, young person or vulnerable person may be at risk of harm, I may need to share relevant information with appropriate services or professionals.

Where possible, I will aim to discuss this with the relevant person first. However, this may not always be appropriate where doing so could increase risk.

9. Appointments, Cancellations and Rescheduling

I understand that sometimes circumstances change and appointments need to be rearranged.

If you need to postpone or cancel an appointment, including any future appointments, please email me at least 24 hours in advance.

Where at least 24 hours' notice is provided, we will arrange another suitable time for your session, subject to availability.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, the session will normally be considered used and will not be rescheduled.

However, I understand that unexpected circumstances can sometimes arise. In exceptional circumstances, I may use my discretion to allow a session to be rescheduled without it being lost. This will be considered on an individual basis and does not create an automatic entitlement to an exception in future circumstances.

If you do not attend a scheduled session without contacting me, the session will normally be considered used.

If I need to cancel or rearrange a session, I will give you as much notice as reasonably possible and we will arrange an alternative appointment.

10. Ending or Pausing Coaching

Either you or I may choose to end the coaching relationship.

If you wish to end coaching, please let me know as soon as possible.

I may end or pause coaching where I believe:

  • Coaching is no longer appropriate for your needs.

  • You would benefit from a different type of professional support.

  • There is a breakdown in the coaching relationship.

  • There are repeated issues with attendance, payment or behaviour.

  • Continuing the coaching relationship would not be appropriate or safe.

Where possible, I will discuss this with you and provide appropriate signposting or recommendations for alternative support where suitable.

11. Payment

Fees for coaching, workshops or other services will be communicated to you before you book or purchase the service.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made in accordance with the payment arrangements provided at the time of booking.

For coaching packages or payment plans, the agreed payment terms will be confirmed before coaching begins.

Failure to make payments as agreed may result in future sessions being paused until payment arrangements have been resolved.

12. Refunds

Refund arrangements may vary depending on the type of service, package or programme booked.

Where coaching sessions have already taken place, refunds will normally only be considered in exceptional circumstances or where required by law.

If you have purchased a package and wish to discuss ending your coaching before all sessions have been used, please contact me so that the circumstances can be considered.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

13. Communication

My preferred method of communication regarding appointments, cancellations and coaching administration is email unless another method has been agreed.

Please be aware that I may not be available to respond immediately to messages.

Unless specifically included as part of your coaching package, communication between sessions is not intended to provide emergency, crisis or immediate support.

14. Your  Health and Wellbeing

You are responsible for informing me of anything that you believe may be relevant to your coaching experience.

You remain responsible for your own health and wellbeing throughout the coaching process.

If you are receiving support from medical, mental health or other healthcare professionals, coaching should not replace their advice or treatment.

You should continue to seek appropriate medical or professional advice where necessary.

15. Online Coaching

Where coaching takes place online, you are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate access to the internet and a suitable device.

I will take reasonable steps to provide coaching through the agreed platform, but I cannot guarantee that technology or internet connections will always operate without interruption.

If a significant technical issue prevents a session from taking place, we will discuss a suitable way to rearrange or complete the session.

16. Recording Sessions

Coaching sessions will not normally be recorded.

If either party wishes to record a session, this must be discussed and agreed in advance by everyone involved.

No participant may record a group session without my prior permission and the agreement of those taking part.

17. Materials and Intellectual Property

Any worksheets, resources, documents, presentations or other materials provided by me remain my intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

They are provided for your personal use or for the specific purpose for which they were supplied.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, share publicly or use my materials for commercial purposes without my written permission.

18. Data Protection and Privacy

I take your privacy seriously and will handle your personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection law. Information about how I collect, store and use personal information is set out in my Privacy Policy.

By taking part in coaching, you understand that I may need to collect and use relevant personal information in order to provide the coaching service.

Where particularly sensitive personal information is shared, this will be handled with appropriate care and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

For further information, please see my Privacy Policy.

19. Liability

I will provide coaching services with reasonable care and skill.

However, you remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and the consequences of those decisions and actions.

I will not be responsible for any loss or outcome arising directly from decisions or actions you choose to take as a result of coaching, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

20. Complaints and Concerns

I want you to feel comfortable raising any concerns about the coaching service.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please contact me in the first instance so that we can try to resolve the issue.

Please email: Talia@taliazamora.com I will take reasonable steps to listen to your concerns and respond appropriately.

21. Changes to These Terms and Conditions

I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The most current version will be available on my website.

For existing coaching clients, any significant changes that may affect an ongoing coaching arrangement will be communicated where appropriate.

22. Agreement to These Terms

By booking, purchasing or participating in coaching services with Talia Zamora, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these Terms and Conditions and agree to them.

If you do not understand or have questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact me before booking or continuing with coaching.
